Career

On 23 December 2023, Mitchell was loaned out to Southern League Premier Division Central side Alvechurch on a youth loan deal;[8] in February 2024 the loan deal was extended until the end of the season.[9] After making 25 appearances for Alvechurch, Mitchell returned to Aston Villa.[10] On 9 June 2024, after 12 years at Villa Park, Mitchell was released following the conclusion of his contract, along with seven other academy players.[11][12]
On 10 July 2024, Mitchell signed for League Two side Swindon Town on a contract of undisclosed length.[4][13] His professional debut for the club came on 13 August in a 4–2 loss against Crawley Town in round one of the EFL Cup, in which he came on as a 71st–minute substitute for Joel Cotterill.[14][15] Mitchell's league debut came four days later when he came on as an 85th-minute substitute for Ollie Clarke in a 4–0 home defeat against Walsall.[16] [17]
