EJ Gomez (full name Eireene Jairee Desembrana Gomez) is a Filipino news reporter.[1] She works as a senior correspondent for GMA Integrated News under GMA Network.[2]
Education and early career
[edit]Gomez finished her Bachelor in Secondary Education major in English, graduating Magna Cum Laude from National University.[3] This was followed by finishing her Bachelor of Arts in Journalism, Cum Laude at The Manila Times College before joining GMA, Gomez served as a reporter for both The Manila Times, as well as CNN Philippines.[4]
Career
[edit]Gomez is a news correspondent who serves as a senior field reporter for GMA Integrated News.[5] Among field reports that she has covered includes incidents like crimes, fires, and typhoons.[6] She rose to prominence in 2025 after covering the news despite being in an evening gown after attending the GMA Gala, as well as wearing evening clothes at an uncovered and rainy field reportage, which quickly went viral on social media.[7]
