The EcoHouse, also spelled Eco House and stylised in the logo as eco house.[1], was a show house and ecohouse in Leicester managed by Groundwork Leicester & Leicestershire, then known as Environ[2][3] with funding from Leicester City Council, among other organisations[4]
The EcoHouse was designed to demonstrate that small changes could case a large positive impact on the environment,[4] however, following the demise[citation needed] of Groundwork, the building was abandoned.
On the 29th July 2021, planning permission was granted for the Western Ward Community Enterprise to redevelop the EcoHouse into a community centre[5] as part of Project Hive[6]
