Eduardo Viscasillas Blanque (21 September 1848 – 12 March 1938) was a Spanish diplomat and composer. He served as the principal of the Royal College of Spain in Bologna and the secretary of the Spanish Academy of Fine Arts in Rome.

Blanque was born on 12 September 1848 in Zaragoza, Spain to Manuel Viscasillas and María Blanque. [1] He started his music lessons at the age of 11 under the Spanish organist Francisco Anel. He continued his studies under Joaquín Salces. He graduated in 1872 with a degree in law from the University of Zaragoza. He continued his musical studies under Teodoro Bailo Tena who was himself the disciple of the well-know Spanish composer Jesús de Monasterio.
