Xiaoqin (Elaine) Li is a physics professor at the University of Texas at Austin.

Education

Dr.Li went to Beijing Normal University with aspirations of becoming a high school physics teacher. She then went to graduate school at the University of Michigan, where she studied experimental physics. She then went to JILA at Colorado as a postdoctoral fellow, before joining the University of Texas at Austin in January 2007.

Research and Awards

Dr.Li currently researches the quantum dynamics of electrons.[1]

She has also won many awards for her groundbreaking research.

Teaching

Dr.Li is known to be an amazing pi through her students, and an engaging teacher. As of the fall semester of 2024, she is teaching PHY316, which is the introductory E&M class at UT Austin.
