Eleanor Carr (May 18, 1807[1] - ?) was a state legislator in Colorado. A Republican, she represented Denver County in the Colorado House of Representatives from 1953-1954.[2] She was defeated in the 1954 Republican primary.[3] Ralph Carr, governor of Colorado, was her husband[4] until he died in 1950.[5][6][7]
Ralph Carr Carr married Gretchen Fowler and adopted two children, a boy and a girl. Years after she died, he married Eleanor Fairall[8] in 1948. She was a former client and the daughter of Herbert Fairall, an insurance businessman and publisher of the Daily Journal[9] who served as state treasurer.[10]
Ichiro "Joe" Nishida stated he erected a gravestone for her.[11] Ralph Carr wrote a letter noting their wedding.[12] Carr's first wife died.[13]
