Emeka Okonkwo (born on February 18, 1982)[1] widely known as E-Money, is a Nigeria socialite[2] businessman, investor and entrepreneur. He is the Chief Executive Officer of Five Star Music, a record company in NIgeria and Emmy Cargoes Shipping Nigeria Limited.[3]
Early life and education
editE-Money early life was in Ajegunle, Lagos State where he completed his primary education at Ajegunle Primary School. He is from Amaputu in Uli, Ihiala Local Government Area of Anambra State.[4] In 2019, he received a doctorate degree from the European American University.[5]
Career
editE-money is the Chairman/Founder of the FIve Star Group. E-Money's rise to wealth and prominence began with a $2 million contract early in his career, which significantly repositioned him in the business world and transformed his life. He diversified his interests by entering the shipping industry with Emy Cargo and Shipping Services Nigeria Limited, established in 2007[6] to offer shipping and clearing services in Nigeria's maritime sector. In addition, he co-founded Five Star Oil & Gas with his brother Kcee in 2016[6], making him a notable figure in the oil and gas industry. E-Money also has various real estate ventures and holds investments in Union Bank Nigeria Plc. In addition to his ventures in oil, gas, and shipping, he also owns several businesses overseas.
