Emmy Bright (born 1977) is a Detroit-based print artist, author, and educator who has served as the artist-in-residence at the Cranbrook Academy of Art.[1]
Artistic Career
editBright's works portrays desire and subjectivity through various lenses including comedy, pop music, and psychology. Her artistic mediums range from drawing and print to social practice.[2]
She has exhibited her work at Ox-Bow School of Art and Artists Residency, University of North Texas, and the Kinsey Institute at Indiana University.
Education
editBright received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Chicago and went on to earn a Master of Education degree from the Harvard Graduate School of Education as well as a Master of Fine Arts from the Cranbrook Academy of Art.[3]
