Erin Frances Simpson (born on 13 June 1982) is a New Zealand television presenter, and social media influencer. She is best known for hosting The Erin Simpson Show, Kiwi Living and Sky Sports Rugby.[1]
Personal life
editSimpson was born and raised on a Dairy Farm in Te Kauwhata just north of Huntly. Attended Te Kauwhata College and Saint Paul’s Colligate in Hamilton.
In 2001 Simpson gained a BA in Opera from EIT Hastings and in 2004 she studied Musical theatre at NASDA where she gained a bachelor's degree in Musical Theatre.
Simpson married former Bachelor Star Batch 3 Zac Franich[2], in 2019. They have one son together.[3]
Career
editIn 2005 Simpson performed with the NZ company in Jesus Christ Superstar, Beauty and the Beast and West end to Broadway.
Simpson started in television as a production assistant for Whitebait Media[4] making Wannabes and What Now which led to auditioning for onscreen roles.
2007 Simpson was co host of Sticky TV alongside Drew Ne'emia and Sam Wallace.
2009 became host of "The Erin Simpson Show".
The Erin Simpson Show ran for 5 years, producing 770 episodes. 2012 saw the show being nominated for a New Zealand Television award. They developed The Maggie Kitchen Showdown which saw every school participating in learning to cook and in 2011.
Simpson has also fronted TVNZ's Operation Hero, TVNZ's Kiwi Living[5] and Sky Sports presenter for College Rugby.
