Erum Bashir (Urdu: ارم بشیر) is a Pakistani actress, dancer,[1] choreographer,[2] and costumier.[3] She has also worked in interdisciplinary arts events.[4][5][6]
Her breakout roles as an actress in television came after starring in the series Teri Meri Jodi (2015) as 'Rooh Afza', and subsequently appearing in Bholi Bano (2017) as 'Noora', both of which aired on Geo Entertainment. This was followed by other television roles in Main Maa Nahi Banna Chahti (2017) as 'Maham' for HUM, Mala Mir (2019) as 'Sidra' for A-Plus and Ishq Bepanah (2022) as 'Saniya' for Express Entertainment.
Bashir has also had roles in the films Sheru (2020), Magar (2021), and Funkaar.
Within theatre, she has starred in shows at the Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi[7][8] and at her alma mater, the National Academy of Performing Arts (NAPA).[9][10] At NAPA she starred in shows directed by Zia Mohyeddin,[11] and Michael Miensopust (in collaboration with the Goethe-Institut);[12] in addition to pieces written by Athar Shah Khan Jaidi,[13] and Urdu language adaptations of plays by Henrik Ibsen.[14][15]
