Fisher Brewer (born November 1, 2002) is an American sports journalist and photographer. He currently contributes to Sports Illustrated and is the founder of USCTalk. Brewer has established himself as an influential figure in sports media, known for his "moment-driven" photography style and impactful reporting on South Carolina Gamecocks athletics.

Early Life and Education

Fisher Brewer was born in Glasgow, Kentucky, and grew up in various locations, including Augusta, Georgia; Columbia, South Carolina; Tybee Island, Georgia; and Jacksonville, Florida. He attended high school in Georgia, where he excelled academically and athletically. As a multisport athlete, Brewer earned All-County honors in baseball and represented Florida in a national tournament. In soccer, he played as a forward, consistently averaging a hat-trick in his final two years. Brewer was awarded the Thrive Academy Award, a scholarship recognizing his academic achievements and dedication to his studies and extracurricular activities.

Career

Brewer’s interest in sports journalism began in high school, leading him to create USCTalk, a brand dedicated to covering the South Carolina Gamecocks. Influenced by sports media professionals like Justin King and Zach Frehse, Brewer focused on growing USCTalk and developing his skills in sports graphics and photography. His commitment led to collaborative opportunities with individuals like South Carolina basketball coach Frank Martin.

He later joined Rivals.com, where he reported on high-profile recruits, including 5-star ATH Nyck Harbor. He received notable recognition when On3 National Basketball Analyst Jamie Shaw referred to him as a "rising star in the industry" during a Twitter Space. Despite a brief tenure at Rivals.com due to ethical considerations, Brewer continued to build his career.

In January 2023, Brewer joined Sports Illustrated, where he has contributed as both a journalist and photographer, covering major sports events such as SEC Media Days and NCAA March Madness. His photography style has earned him features on networks like ESPN and CBS.
