Five Nights at Freddy's: Help Wanted 2 is a 2023 horror video game developed by Steel Wool Studios and published by ScottGames. It is the tenth main installment in the Five Nights at Freddy's series, the fourteenth game overall, and a sequel to Five Nights at Freddy's: Help Wanted. The game released on December 14, 2023, for PlayStation VR2 headsets on the PlayStation 5, with a Steam release on Windows releasing the same day.[2] A Quest 2 port and a flat version will release in spring 2024. The game's announcement was first made via a teaser trailer in May 2023 during the PlayStation Showcase.
Gameplay
editHelp Wanted 2 features 40 mini-games split into the categories of Backstage, Fazcade, Staff Only, Food Prep, Ticket Booth, and new VR versions of segments from Sister Location.[3] The game introduces new characters and locations to the series while also bringing back several familiar characters and locations. Help Wanted 2 expands upon storylines set up in previous entries, aiming to improve upon and be more ambitious than its predecessor.[4] The game tasks players with completing mini-games quickly and diligently, with severe consequences for mistakes.[5]
Development
editThe game was first announced during the PlayStation Showcase event that took place on May 24, 2023, with a teaser trailer depicting the inside of the same elevator previously seen in Five Nights at Freddy's: Sister Location,[6] alongside a release date scheduled sometime later that year.[5] A gameplay trailer was released on November 20, 2023.[7][8]
Release
editThe game was released for PlayStation 5 and Windows on December 14, 2023. A port for the Quest 2 is set to release in the spring of 2024.[citation needed]
