edit

The station launched on the Tynemouth & South Shields SS-DAB multiplex at 7am on Friday 10th December 2021 under the strapline "The Rhythm of the North East"

The first voice was presenter Andy G. The first show was "Andy & Steph's Rude Awakening" and the first track played was "Tell Me Something Good" by Ewan McVicar.

The station later expanded to Middlesbrough & Redcar, and to Darlington when the SS-DAB multiplexes for those areas launched in 2023.[2]
