George Camille(born September 1, 1963) is Seychelles' most acclaimed Visual Artist. Born on the Island of Mahé, Seychelles in 1963. George spent his entire childhood on La Digue where he helped his parents run a bakery in La Passe. As a young child during his free time, George chose to pursue an Artistic Career. George was initially self-taught, he however later developed his uniquely eclectic style that distinctly identifies him through formal tuition. This was through two periods at Blackheath College of Art and Goldsmiths College, London which he completed and returned to Seychelles in 1987.
