editIn June 2016, a new animated series titled, Ghostbusters: Ecto Force, was announced to be in development, with an initial targeted release of early-2018. The series was to be set in the year 2050, following a new team of Ghostbusters who capture ghosts from around the world.[1] In August 2017, Reitman revealed that the series had been postponed to prioritize development on the planned Ghostbusters animated spin-off film.[2]
