Draft:Giuseppe Tedeschi

  • Comment: Citations do not belong in headings. Citations do belong after the information they support. Half of the article is in Italian. Snowman304|talk 04:47, 22 October 2024 (UTC)
  • Comment: Please do NOT add citations to the section headings. Firstly, they don't belong there at all. Secondly and more to the point, (especially) in articles on living people, citations must immediately follow the information they are supporting, so that it is clear where each piece of information comes from. When the citations are placed in the headings, this connection is lost. DoubleGrazing (talk) 15:59, 5 September 2024 (UTC)
  • Comment: I don't know if this is a hoax (?), but I do know the referencing is far from adequate. DoubleGrazing (talk) 10:50, 21 August 2024 (UTC)

Giuseppe Tedeschi
Count
Born (1958-01-30) 30 January 1958 (age 66)
Rome, Italy

Giuseppe Tedeschi (Rome, January 30, 1958) is an Italian nobleman, painter, and musician who serves as an Attachés of the Antechamber to the Papal Household, a member of the Pontifical Family, and the Official Representative of the Royal House of Montenegro.

Life

edit

Giuseppe Tedeschi was born into a noble family[1], whose branch from Sicily settled in Caserta. His parents were Count Dr. Ubaldo Tedeschi, Commander of the Order of Merit of the Italian Republic[2] and Knight of the Order of Saints Maurice and Lazarus, and Giulia Vianello, from a noble Venetian family[3]. After obtaining his classical high school diploma in 1976 at the Collegio S. Giuseppe Istituto de Merode of the Brothers of the Christian Schools, he graduated in Law from the University of Rome "La Sapienza" in 1982.[4] Simultaneously with his law degree, he graduated in Painting in 1981 from the Accademia di Belle Arti di Roma.[5] He won the state competition for a teaching position in the State School for Artistic Education and qualified for teaching. He served as a reserve officer in the Arma dei Carabinieri,[6] where, in addition to his assignment at the IV Carabinieri Battalion "Veneto," he also undertook judicial police duties of particular responsibility at the local territorial company and highly confidential tasks such as the interim command of the 1st Rifle Company of the IV Carabinieri Battalion, as well as the command of the support platoon at the NATO Base in Veneto until January 12, 1984. After his service, he completed "legal practice" at a well-known criminal law firm in Rome.

He served as a legal consultant at the Directorate General for Cultural Relations of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Later, he was appointed Attachés of the Antechamber of His Holiness and on November 18, 1986, by Pope Saint John Paul II, consequently becoming a member of the Papal Household.[7]

Since 2006, he has been the Official Representative of the Royal House of Montenegro[8] whose Head is H.R.H. Prince Nikola Petrović-Njegoš.[9][10]

Since 2022, he has been a member of the Consulta dei Senatori del Regno.[11]

Life as an Artist

edit

A professional painter and portraitist,[12][13] he has created numerous official portraits of Popes, Cardinals, Bishops, Prelates, Ambassadors, and members of the Roman aristocracy, as well as cultural figures. His works are housed in museums, apostolic palaces, and historical and private collections, including: the Sala dei Papi at the Circolo S. Pietro, the Apostolic Palazzo San Callisto, the Diocesan Museum of Imola, the Embassy of Spain to the Holy See, the Gallery of the Military Ordinariate of Rome, the Gallery of the Banca Finnat Foundation at Palazzo Altieri in Rome, and the Gallery of the Boncompagni Ludovisi. He is the author of the first official portrait of Pope John Paul I in the Vatican and of the portraits of Popes Damasus I and Callixtus III, created in an antique style by order of H.M. King Juan Carlos I of Spain, currently housed at the Embassy of Spain to the Holy See and the Sovereign Military Order of Malta. He also created the official portrait of Architect Paolo Portoghesi for the house museum in Calcata.[14][15][16][17][18][19][20][21]

He studied piano, organ, singing, and music theory at the Conservatorio Santa Cecilia in Rome and at the Accademia Filarmonica Romana. In 1984, he was selected through an audition by M° Mons. D. Bartolucci as a pontifical singer for the Sistine Chapel Choir, but later chose the Teatro dell'Opera in Rome, where he won the competition as a permanent tenor. In 1979, he joined the "Giulia" Musical Chapel of St. Peter's Basilica in the Vatican as a trainee under the direction of M° A. Renzi. Since 1980, he has been a Principal Singer of the Chapel, earning a diploma in choral conducting under M° M. Constantin. He is an internationally renowned concert tenor, dean singer, and Deputy Master of the "Giulia" Chapel.

As a lyrical tenor, he has collaborated as a consultant for television dramas and films with O. Desideri, an Oscar and David di Donatello award winner for "The Last Emperor" by B. Bertolucci. He has also worked with G. Lollobrigida at international festivals, academies, and embassies, and was a friend and collaborator of F. Zeffirelli, contributing to the direction of the opera "Pagliacci".

He has worked with R. Levi Montalcini on publications and with Dario Fo.

Since 2021, he has served as the master of protocol and art expert for the IASC "World Changers Summit", collaborating with the Pontifical Academy of Social Sciences.

In 2021, he was appointed "Academician" of the National Academy of Arts of Ukraine by Rostyslav Karandieiev, the current Minister of Culture of Ukraine. He is the only Italian artist, along with Riccardo Muti, to receive such an honor.[22]
