Draft:Gold Future Cup

  • Comment: You've still only added one more source, and that source does not demonstrate the notability of the Cup, it just proves the existence of the content produced by winners. MarcGarver (talk) 09:34, 28 June 2024 (UTC)
  • Comment: All sources are from the same source, if this is the only source discussing this topic then it doesn't meet our criteria for notability. McMatter (talk)/(contrib) 13:18, 15 March 2024 (UTC)

The Gold Future Cup (金未来杯, Kin Mirai Hai) is an annual competition organized by the editorial staff of Weekly Shōnen Jump since 2004. The winner of the competition wins the rights to launch a series in the magazine in the future.

Overview

edit

Every summer, 4 to 7 one-shot manga by new manga artists nominated by the editorial department are published in consecutive issues of Weekly Shōnen Jump. [1] The Gold Future Cup will be awarded to the nominated work that receives the best results in both the reader surveys and the editorial department evaluation. As of 2023, it has been held 17 times and all artists who won it until 2021 have been serialized. The competition has had many notable winners and participants in the past, including Yuuki Tabata, Ryuhei Tamura and Hiroshi Shiibashi.
