Draft:Goleadoras Foundation

  • Comment: As explained above, significant coverage of the organisation is required to show notability. Please follow this link to learn what is meant by significant coverage.
Here is a quick analysis of the sources in the current version of the draft. None of them
    1. A press release about the establishment of the foundation.
    2. Another copy of the same press release. Press releases are not independent and not secondary, and when one press release is distributed to multiple websites or newspapers, it is still just one source. All duplicates should be removed.
    3. A news report about an event where a team from Goleadoras participated; trivial mention.
    4. The org's own website.
    5. Another website run by the org.
    6. A tweet.
    7. Press release from the org.
    8. Short blurb about the event from source 3; the focus of the report is on the participation of the crown prince of Norway, and Goleadoras is only mentioned in passing. bonadea contributions talk 20:00, 18 July 2024 (UTC)

Goleadoras is a non-governmental organization dedicated to empowering girls through soccer[1], founded by Eglantina Zingg in 2010[2]. Goleadoras focuses on the development of girls and women living in vulnerable communities. Their collaboration with UNICEF, the UN, and various private sector partners in countries such as Haiti, Venezuela, and Mexico has had a profound impact on the lives of thousands of children. [3]

Currently, Goleadoras operates training programs in Colombia and Ecuador, with upcoming expansions planned for Venezuela and Miami.[4][5]

History

edit

Goleadoras originated 13 years ago with the inception of Proyecto Paz Latinoamérica (PPLA), a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting a culture of peace and alternative education for girls in vulnerable communities throughout Latin America. Goleadoras utilize soccer as a means to foster greater inclusion, identity, and equality. [6][7]

Effectiveness

edit

Goleadoras harnesses soccer as a powerful tool to empower girls and women worldwide. Their mission is to promote physical and emotional well-being, non-violent assertiveness, teamwork, self-esteem, creativity, discipline, and leadership skills among girls.[8]
