Gorzko, gorzko (trans. bitter, bitter) is an expression commonly used by Barbara Serce, one of the novel's four protagonists, to keep wasps away.[1]

The novel was translated into Croatian by Mladen Martić[4] and published in 2023 by Fraktura.[5]

Adaptation

On 19 December 2021, a stage adaptation of the novel directed by Emilia Sadowska premiered at Teatr im. Stefana Jaracza in Olsztyn.[6]
