The Green Building Council of Sri Lanka (GBCSL)[1] is a non-profit organisation dedicated to promoting sustainable building practices in Sri Lanka. The GBCSL is a member of Green Building Council (GBC) works towards creating a sustainable built environment that minimises ecological impact while enhancing the quality of life for its inhabitants.

This esteemed ceremony brings together a wide array of industry stakeholders, celebrating the owners of GREEN SL® Certified Buildings, manufacturers of eco-friendly products, and professionals who have achieved the status of Associate or Accredited Green Professionals through GBCSL's rigorous certification process. In addition to these recognitions, the event also pays tribute to business leaders, public institutions, volunteers, and green building consultants who have shown an outstanding commitment to enhancing environmental sustainability in Sri Lanka. A highlight of the ceremony is the presentation of the ‘Outstanding Green Commitment Award’, which acknowledges individuals and organizations that have made significant contributions to promoting green initiatives and fostering a culture of sustainability within the construction and building sectors.
