Submission declined on 15 November 2024 by Theroadislong (talk). This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of people). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia.

Charles Batchelor, better known by his online name Grian, is a British YouTuber, who is known primarily for creating Minecraft content.[2] As of November 2024, his main channel has over 8.6 million subscribers and 2.4 billion views.[3]
Career
editWynncraft
editBatchelor, alongside Francis Mailloux and Isaac Pohl-Zaretsky, founded Wynncraft, a fantasy massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG), which launched on 6 July 2013.[4]
Wynncraft received generally positive reviews.[5][6] On 4 July 2017, Guinness World Records recognized Wynncraft as the largest MMORPG created within Minecraft.[4]
HermitCraft
editBatchelor joined HermitCraft on 19 July 2018, and has since become one of the most well-known members of the server.[7] HermitCraft is a private, invite-only, Minecraft server, and one of the most famous. HermitCraft has been featured by Mojang, during various events in the past. HermitCraft also works with charities such as SOS Africa, the Gamers Outreach Foundation, and the Make a Wish Foundation.[8][9][10]
Life Series
editIn 2021, Batchelor launched the Life Series, a collaborative Minecraft series featuring 14 other YouTubers. The first season, titled 3rd Life, premiered in April of that year. Batchelor described the series as "experimental hardcore with a twist." The success of 3rd Life led to the series continuing, and as of November 2024, the series is in its sixth season, titled Wild Life.[11]
MC Championship
editBatchelor is a regular contestant of MC Championship, one of the biggest Minecraft competitive tournaments, which began in 2019. Batchelor and his team won the 17th MC Championship in September 2021, and Batchelor has gotten to dodgebolt, a best-of-five game that determines the winner of the event, multiple times.[12]
Other activities
editIn July 2022, Xbox collaborated with the National Trust to recreate Corfe Castle in Minecraft. The build, created by Batchelor, with the help of archaeologist Martin Papworth, was launched ahead of the National Trust's Festival of Archaeology.[13][14][15][16][17]
