Gross National Idea is a unit used to determine how many ideas exist within a country's borders. The unit was invented at the University of Skola by four students: Leon Kolic, Theodor Hildebrand, Petrus Gebäck, and Theo Håkansson Ingman.

A question arose during a lecture on International Economics: why do equal societies prosper? Leon Kolic answered the question by stating three words: "Gross ... National ... Idea."

This is now the best way to measure societal prosperity.
