Embalate Ecuador is a female musical group specializing in national music and cumbia, originating from the city of Cuenca - Ecuador, founded in August 2013 under the direction of Dominmusic. They are known for songs such as "El pasito chontacuro," "La grilla," or "El día que yo me muera." Currently, the group consists of Joseline Crespo, Silvana Solís, Melissa López, and Tatiana Aldaz, who make up the third generation of the ensemble.[1]
BEGINNINGS
editEmbalate Ecuador started in August 2013 under the management of the producer Dominmusic. In 2015, it won a national award for being chosen as the best technocumbia group in the "Las duras de la Tecnocumbia" competition on TC television.[2]
The group is distinctive for using attire that includes short skirts, attempting to identify with the traditional clothing of the Cholas Cuencanas.[3]
