Draft:Henry C. Peabody

Henry C. Peabody (April 14, 1838 – March 29, 1911), of Portland, Maine, was a justice of the Maine Supreme Judicial Court from November 29, 1900 until his death on March 29, 1911.

Born in Gilead, Maine, Peabody graduated from Dartmouth College in 1859 and read law to be admitted to the bar in 1862. He was a Probate Judge from 1880 to 1900, and was appointed by Governor Llewellyn Powers as an associate justice on November 29, 1900. He thereafter served until his death.[1]
