Hong Eun-chae (Korean: 홍은채; born November 10, 2006)[1] also known mononymously as Eunchae, is a South Korean singer and dancer. She is best known as member of South Korean girl group Le Sserafim, under Source Music.
Early life and education
editHong was born in Miryang, Gyeongsangnam-do, South Korea on November 10, 2006.[2] Her family is comprised of herself, her parents and an older brother. Hong was the former student president and she also did media club in elementary school, as well as a former member of the athletics club and student council during her first year of middle school.
Career
editPre-debut
editHong was a former student of Def Dance School for two years, she previously auditioned at JYP Entertainment and Pledis Entertainment before joining Source Music in 2021.[3]
2022–present: Debut with Le Sserafim
editOn March 14, 2022, Source Music announced the launch of their new girl group, Le Sserafim, in collaboration with Hybe Corporation. Hong was revealed as the group's third member on April 6.[4] They debuted on May 2, 2022, with the extended play Fearless and its title track of the same name.[5]
In February 2023, Hong was announced as the new host of Music Bank.[6]
Endorsements
editOn February 20 2023, Hong was announced as the new muse for the brand Kirsch.[7] On July 16, Hong was announced as the new muse for the Japanese brand 'Calamee'. [8]
