The House of Habsburg-Laufenburg was a cadet branch of the larger and more famous House of Habsburg, one of the most influential royal families in European history. The Habsburg-Laufenburg line emerged in the late 13th century and was associated with territories in what is now Switzerland and southwestern Germany.
