Bahiyyih Jaleh Huening (Korean: 바히에 잘레 휴닝; born July 27, 2004), professionally known as Huening Bahiyyih, is a Korean-American singer.[2] She is best known for competing on the Mnet survival competition show Girls Planet 999 and ranking 2nd in the final episode, making her a member of the group Kep1er.
Early life
editBahiyyih Jaleh Huening was born on July 27, 2004, in Seoul, South Korea.[3] Bahiyyih attended Lila Art High School and graduated on February 2023.[4] She is the youngest of three children.[5] She has an elder sister, Lea Navvab Huening, and an elder brother, Huening Kai of Tomorrow X Together.[6]
Career
edit2021–present: Girls Planet 999 and debut with Kep1er
editOn July 18, 2021, Huening Bahiyyih was officially announced as a contestant for Mnet's reality survival show Girls Planet 999 as an independent trainee and was one of the program's 33 Korean contestants.[7]
In October 2021, she signed on as a trainee with IST Entertainment (formerly PlayM Entertainment).[8] The same month, she ranked in second place in the final episode of Girls Planet 999, thus making her debut in the final group Kep1er. [9]
On January 3, 2022, Huening Bahiyyih officially debuted as a member of Kep1er with the release of their first EP, First Impact.[10]
