Ibukun Fadugba known professionally as Mr. IBK,[1] is a Nigerian recording engineer, music producer, and gospel music minister. Fadugba has made significant contributions to the Nigerian gospel music industry. He is currently the worship pastor at Elevate Church in Missoula, Montana.[2]
Professional Career
editIbukun Fadugba began his professional career under the mentorship of Cobhams Asuquo, one of Nigeria's renowned music producers. While at Cobhams Asuquo Music Production, he served as a recording engineer on various projects, including Bez's Album "Gbagyi Child." [3] His work here was instrumental in establishing him as a key player in the music production industry.
In 2019, Ibukun Fadugba worked as a recording engineer and producer on Tolu Odukoya-Ijogun's track, "Favour."[4] He produced Celebration Church International’s first album, "Kerygma," in 2017.[5] Ibukun also produced several other artists like Feranmi James, where he was songwriter and producer on Jesus we lift you high, What a wonder you are.[6][7] He was co-producer and featured on Jo Deep’s In the light amongst many other projects.[8] While in Canada, he produced artist like Adetoun JESUS Baby on several tracks like Light Up ft Tomi Favored.[9]
Ibukun Fadugba has been recognized in various media outlets, including an interview with Wazobia TV, where he discussed his journey in music production.[10] His work and experiences have also been featured in several articles, including one highlighting his relationship with Cobhams Asuquo and his role in producing Bem Abu’s song.[11][12]
Life as an Artist
editIbukun Fadugba has pursued a career as a solo artist in addition to his work as a producer. He released the single "Jesus You Reign" in 2017.[13] He has also been featured in collaborations with other artists, such as Folabi Nuel, on the single "I Still Believe" in 2017.[14]
