Celebration of India Space Week

India Space Week is celebrated in India every year on 12 to 18 August. The celebration also includes public speeches,[1] radio, TV, Space science movies, Space science exhibitions based on themes and concepts, debates, quiz competitions, lectures, science model exhibitions and many more activities.

Indian Space Week consists of space education and outreach events held by space agencies, aerospace companies, schools, Collage, university, NGO, planetarium, museums, and astronomy clubs around the National in a common timeframe. India Space Week is coordinated by the India Nation with the support of the India Space Week (ISW). The ISWA leads a global team of National Coordinators, who promote the celebration of India Space Week within their own countries. The ISA AND IICT declared in 2022 that India Space Week will be held each year on the Celebration of birth of 12-18 August Vikram Sarabhai.

== Subject - Regarding organizing the Can Sat and Cube Sat competition by India Space Week.

Can Sat and Cube Sat Competition - In all the IITs, NITs, and institutes of India, students will have to register from 12 August to 18 August to participate in the Can Sat and Cube Sat competition on any one of the two subjects/topics (photocopy attached) prescribed by India Space Week. The first phase will be from 19 August to 30 August for CanSat and CubeSat design and development, and the second phase will be from 1 September to 10 September for launch and mission briefing. By the evening of 12.09.2024, the CanSat and CubeSat projects will evaluated at the institute level, and the students securing first, second, and third positions at the institute will have to submit their final CanSat and CubeSat design report (CSP), CanSat project presentation, CanSat project poster, CanSat project research paper. All templates will uploaded on https//www.indiaspaceweek.org On 18.10.2024, a committee of scientists and experts at the headquarters will examine these CanSats and CubeSats. After that, the students receiving first, second, and third prizes will selected from all the CanSats and CubeSats received. The amount of the first prize will be Rs 25000/-, the second prize will be Rs 15000/- and the third prize will be Rs 10000/-. The said amount will be given in cash to the selected students at the headquarters on 20.10.2023. This amount will spent from the amount received from the India Space Festival Fund.

Note: All the winners will awarded prizes and certificates, and all the participants registered in the competition will given participation certificates.

For Indian Institute of Technology (IITs) and National Institute of Technology (NITs) students CanSat and Cubesat Mission (working model) small Satellite Design To determine Position of CanSat and Cubesat (Lat, Long, Height) To find Orientation of CanSat and Cubesat ( Roll, Pitch, Yaw) To measure Atmospheric Parameters (Temperature , Pressure and Humidity) To capture Video/Image To Transmit the Data from CanSat and Cubesat to Ground Station
