History
editIndigrow University was founded in May 2023 as the first Bangladeshi nonprofit focused on offering hands-on technical and entrepreneurial education specifically for indigenous students. Since its founding, the organization has raised over 20,000 USD in funding and built a team of over 60 volunteers. In its first year of operation, the university established a few partnerships with local educational institutions in Chittagongs. In recent months, Indigrow managed to expand its impact to Southeastern areas of Bangladesh, including Rangamati and Khagrachari.
The university has supported over 170 students in completing over 52 social projects. These projects range from environmental conservation initiatives to educational awareness campaigns for indigenous students. Furthermore, the organization's entrepreneurship program provides mentorship to launch initiatives by students within underserved communities on areas such as eco-friendly product development and digital solutions for indigenous education.
