The International University of Tunis (IUT) is a private higher education institution in Tunisia, based in Tunis.[1]

History

edit

Founded in 2002 by Héla Ennaifer, daughter of Sheikh Mohamed Salah Ennaifer and one of Tunisia's first female entrepreneurs. After extensive experience in tourism and transportation since the late 1960s, she established the Private International University of Tunis,[2] accredited by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research[3] (accreditation 02–2002) to meet the educational, training, and requalification needs.

Following the higher education reform in 2008, the Private International University of Tunis was renamed the Private International Higher School of Tunis (SupInter), and the International University of Tunis became the group formed with the Center for Scientific and Technical Updating for Training and Research.
