Into the Wild: Wolf Girl 1 is a children's novel written and illustrated by Anh Do. It is the first book in the Wolf Girl series. Wolf Girl is an adventurous tale based on several dogs and a girl named Gwen. The first book is about a girl who finds some dogs and goes on an amazing adventure where she stumbles into trouble and learns to fend for herself.
Plot
editThe story begins with Gwen being woken up by her Mum. She has to get in the car and leave her home. She has no clue where she is going but her Mum and Dads' faces are white with fear. Her mum tells her to run. She runs as fast as she can and becomes separated from her family. She arrives in the woods where she trips and bangs her head on a rock, knocking herself out.
When she wakes up she realizes she is very thirsty so she tries to find water in the woods. While searching, she stumbles across a small wolf pup with beautiful golden fur and a black diamond on its forehead. The wolf pup runs off into the woods and Gwen follows hoping that she will lead her to water. They find a river where they can both drink from. The wolf pup reminds Gwen of a dog she used to own. Gwen and "Puppy" the wolf pup then begin their search for Gwen's parents.
