Iranian National Committee on Irrigation and Drainage (IRNCID) is a national organization in Iran dedicated to promoting research, knowledge, and advancements in the fields of irrigation, drainage, and water management. IRNCID was became a member of International Commission on Irrigation and Drainage (ICID) in 1955.[1]
Iranian candidates have been elected several times as the vice president and once as the president (2014–2017)[2] of ICID.
One of the important events hosted by Iran's National Irrigation and Drainage Committee was the 21st International Congress on Irrigation and Drainage, the 8th International Congress on Micro Irrigation and the 62nd Annual Meeting of the International Commission on Irrigation and Drainage, which was held simultaneously with several other international meetings in 2011 in Tehran.[3]
