- Comment: At the moment, the majority of the article is a more "List of musicians who have performed at Is For Lovers Festival" and a lot of sources used are about buying tickets, which doesn't show notability. I feel the subject is likely notable enough for an article, but this needs to be shown better. -- NotCharizard 🗨 04:39, 22 May 2024 (UTC)
Is For Lovers Fest is a music festival created in 2022 by American emo band Hawthorne Heights. The festival gets its namesake from their 2004 song "Ohio Is For Lovers", with the festival's state, city or venue substituted in for "Ohio" in the festival name.[1]
Hawthorne Heights curates every lineup- typically featuring both national and local artists. Past performers include All-American Rejects, Jimmy Eat World, Underoath, Alkaline Trio, Thrice, and Yellowcard.[2] [3] [4]

editHawthorne Heights lead singer J.T. Woodruff said he chose to have the first festival date at Wichita's The Wave because "Wichita is the first-place Hawthorne Heights ever got played on the radio. The local radio station taking a chance on 'Ohio Is for Lovers' opened the door for emo to be on the radio. Our shows in Wichita are always incredible, and we're really excited to bring some of these bands there for the very first time ever."[5]
