editIsaac Wright was born February 23, 2005 in Salt Lake City, Utah, United States. Isaac was adopted by Todd and Heather Wright at birth. The majority of Wright's years were spent in Harrisburg, North Carolina and attended Pitts School Road Elementary, Cabarrus Charter Academy and Hickory Ridge Middle School.
In his early years, Wright would play for FAIRPORT SOCCER CLUB.
Wright was intraduced to running in 6th grade where he would run cross country for his middle school team Cabarrus Charter Academy.

AAU track career
editIsaac Wright ran for Charlotte Panthers Track Club[8] for 7 years. In Wright's first year competing he ran the 3000m and 1500m. Wright placed 2nd in both the 1500m and 3000m at AAU NC Regional Qualifier[9] in the 12 y/o age group. He also placed 5th in the 800m[10] qualifying him in all 3 events for the 2017 AAU Junior Olympics. Wright also ran at the 2017 AAU Club Championships where he ran his season best of 5:20.53 in the 1500m[11].
Wright continued to run middle distance qualifying once again for the 2018 AAU Junior Olympics placing 1st in the 3000m and 2nd in both the 1500m and 800m in the 2018 AAU Regional 25 Qualifier. There, Isaac would run the 3000m, 1500m, 800m, and 4x400m.
