Jalimpa is a Japanese singer-songwriter. She first gained public attention in 2024 when she was certified as the "Youngest Solo Artist to Release an Album" by Guinness World Records with her first album "Nonsense Makes Sense" (2024).[1]

Jalimpa was raised surrounded by the grandeur of nature on Suo-Oshima, an island in the Seto Inland Sea, Japan. Her early years were influenced by the sounds of nature, including ocean waves, chirping insects, and singing birds.[2]

At just six months old and before really understanding the concepts of language or music, she began singing melodies. By the age of one, she would climb on to the tokonoma, a traditional Japanese alcove, acting as if it was her stage, and dance and sing.[3]

At the age of two, before she even learned to speak, Jalimpa started to record melodies overflowing from her subconscious, blending them with mysterious babbling known as ‘space language’, which eventually became her first album "Nonsense Makes Sense", which is often mentioned as "the first album of alternative music from another dimension"[4]

Guinness World Records
