The James Scurlock Sports Academy was established in 2020 by the family of James Scurlock with the vision of using sports as a platform to inspire and uplift youth, particularly those from low-income and minority backgrounds. The founders sought to honor James Scurlock’s passion for community involvement by creating opportunities for young people to thrive both on and off the field.

Since its establishment, JSSA has partnered with organizations and schools across Omaha to offer accessible sports programs, camps, and lifeguard training courses.

Programs and Services
