Joern Schlimm (born on 14 April 1982) is a German sports administrator, academic and consultant.

Career

Joern Schlimm worked for the global football governing body FIFA^[1] ^[2] from September 2020 to July 2024 as Senior Manager and designed the organization’s first risk management framework.^[3]

Before joining FIFA, Schlimm founded the sports consultancy BALLYMPICS in Dubai.^[4] Schlimm advised clients like the Asian Football Confederation (AFC)^[5]^[6]^[7]^[8]^[9]^[10]

Before that, Schlimm was a manager^[11] in PwC’s Governance, Risk and Compliance practice.

Schlimm holds an MBA from Niagara University in the US.^[12] He is also a published researcher^[13]^[14] and Ph.D. candidate at the Institute of Sport Economics and Sport Management of the German Sport University Cologne.^[15]
