Jonathan Wells was born in Melbourne, Victoria, August 7th, 1995. From a young age, he demonstrated a passion for the performing arts, especially in music and dance. Born and raised in Melbourne, Wells grew up in a musically rich environment. Both his mother and father were touring musicians, which led Wells to discover his own passion for music. Wells claims to have started producing tracks at the age of 13, and began creating dance videos for YouTube [1]at the age of 15. After Wells turned 18, he taught himself how to sing and started learning how to write songs.

Wells was homeschooled for the majority of his life and believes it helped him form his own identity away form peer pressure and negative influences, "I think my mother made the right move, taking me out of school. I was very sensitive and would pickup others' behaviors too easily" stated Wells during a livestream on his Twitch channel 'jonathanwellsgaming'. In being homeschooled, Wells had the opportunity to spend the majority of his time creating original music tracks on the home PC."

Jonathan Wells’ journey as a career singer began with creating R&B, Funk and Soul with his best friend Craig Booth on Spotify. His debut single, 'Mother Material', was released in 2023 and received great traction on Spotify for an upcoming artist..

Wells is known for his groovy and jazzy singing with an edge of modern pop. Over the years, Wells has released multiple singles and has appeared on the 9th season of 'Australian Idol' in 2024. Wells also declares 'Justin Timberlake' and his song 'SexyBack' (which he did perform on Australian Idol) as an inspiration to his music career.[2]
