Joseph Alexander Rein, known artistically as Sandro, a family given nickname (born nee Jose Alejandro Urena Vasquez; [a] 9 February 1983), is an entrepreneur. He is married to Laura Weber-Rein, prominent Irish American Fashion Designer and Textile manufacturer.
Born in Santiago de los Caballeros Dominican Republic, Joseph moved to the United States before his first birthday and grew up in Rockland County, Upstate New York. He was educated at The New School, School of Public Engagement and Yeshiva University, Sy Sym Graduate Business School earning degrees in Liberal Arts and a Master's in Business Administration. He held several managerial roles in finance and accounting through his 20's and pursued creative work in his 30's before their engagement. He married Laura Weber-Rein on 23 November 2016 in Naples Florida in the United States. The couple live in Manhattan New York for 10 years and own three businesses; LW Pearl Atelier @lwpearlatelier, LW Pearl Brand @lwpearlbrand and Live Media Technologies Corporation @astralive .
Career
editJoseph started his career as an intern at a multi-national corporation in Danbury, Connecticut during his sophomore year of his undergraduate degree, been selected for an honors business internship program for aspiring business leaders. Joseph soon held staff accountant role at a Bryant Park Hedge Fund managing the Asset Management, Arbitrage, Leverage and Trust consolidated accounting and nav calculations. Joseph then would move on to senior financial management roles in publicly traded companies PepsiCo, in their acquisitions business, managing Quaker Oats, Tropicana, Propel and Gatorade Divisions. Before leaving a career in finance, Joseph held tenure in the SEC reporting and consolidations department at Yahoo! Incorporated, where he had sole controllership over the Yahoo! Canada businesses until hiring a local Canadian controller to take-over provincial tax auditing through the provinces of Ontario, Alberta, British Columbia and French speaking Quebec. Today, Joseph has held founder, co-founder and officer roles at small medium size business, as well as pre-seed and seed technology startups in Manhattan.
