Submission declined on 28 October 2024 by Chetsford (talk). This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of people). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia.

Joseph Matthew Jeavons (born March 21, 2005) is an American filmmaker. His films are characterized by their usage of dysfunctional bromance, comedic style, and frequent use of ensemble casts. He first attracted accolades for his low-budget short films, including Parasocial (2022) and The Big Pelvis (2023). Jeavons produced his first feature film, Blood in the Snow (2025), at the age of nineteen.[1]
Career
editJeavons attended Woodrow Wilson High School in Dallas, Texas, where he began his pursuit of filmmaking.[1] During his junior year, Jeavons, Owen Swift, and Sam Teague worked together to write and produce their first low-budget comedy short film, Parasocial, and would win the Best Student Film Award at the Houston Comedy Film Festival in November of 2022. [2][3]
During January of 2023, Jeavons began working on his second comedy short film, The Big Pelvis, with Owen Swift,[4] which would eventually win a finalist award at the 2023 Student World Impact Film Festival and the Best Student Film at the 2023 Houston Comedy Film Festival.[1][5] The project was shot in just under one day at White Rock Lake. The film used the same cast and crew from their first film, Parasocial.[6]
In October of 2023, Jeavons announced the beginning of his team's fundraising campaign for their debut feature film, Blood in the Snow. Using Indiegogo to raise a $10,000 budget for the film, Jeavons and his team filmed and completed the project in Dallas by the end of August of 2024.[5]
