This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of people). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). - Comment: I will also add that it is never a good idea to resubmit a declined draft without making any changes to it whatsoever. bonadea contributions talk 14:05, 20 September 2024 (UTC)
- Comment: The first source, Ferrer (2017) is a very trivial mention of Gutierrez's name. The second source is a page in a magazine and it doesn't verify most of the claims about the wedding. The third is quite possibly OK, as an obituary presumably written by an independent party, published in The Manila Times. The fourth is another name-drop. The fifth looks like it might also be OK but it depends on the reliability of the publisher, and it is another obituary. The list of movies is entirely unsourced. bonadea contributions talk 14:03, 20 September 2024 (UTC)

Juancho Gutierrez (Manila, 1932 - 2 October 2005) was a Filipino actor known as a matinee idol in the 60s and 70s. He was discovered when Sampaguita Pictures conducted a talent search. He won as Mr. Number One together with Amalia Fuentes as Ms. Number One.[1]
On September 24, 1960, he married fellow Sampaguita Pictures actress Gloria Romero in Santuario de San Antonio in Forbes Park, Makati. The wedding saw the presence of notable figures from Philippine Cinema, including Amelia Fuentes, Susan Roces, and Barbara Perez, among others. Their wedding received widespread attention from leading newspapers, magazines, and radio stations, earning the title of "Wedding of the Year."[2]
The couple had one daughter, Maritess who had a brief stint in acting before pursuing a career as a chef.[3] They had one grandson, Chris (Maritess' son) who was also an actor. [4]
The couple separated after 12 years. In 2000, Juancho experienced a diabetic stroke, resulting in paralysis, which led to a reconciliation with his estranged wife who took care of him.[5] He died of heart failure on October 2, 2005 in Manila, Philippines. He was 73 years old.[3]
