K. J. Steinberg (born June 28, 1973) is an American actress, producer and screenwriter.
Early and personal life
editSteinberg was born on June 28th, 1973 in Great Neck, New York to Judy Hiller and attorney Howard E. Steinberg. Her brother, Hank Steinberg, is a director, producer and film writer.
Steinberg is Jewish.
Career
editWhile primarily working behind the scenes Steinberg has made a few appearances on television such as TV Series Without a Trace and TV Movie 61* but it is on Friends where she played Joeys sister Gina where she landed her most famous role..[1] Some of the shows that Steinberg has produced and written for include Mistresses, Gossip Girl and This is Us for which her and the other producers were nominated for a Producers Guild of America in 2019 for best Episodic Drama and 3 Emmy nominations in 2017, 2018 and 2019 for best co executive producer.. In January 2024 it was announced Steinberg would be producing and writing the upcoming Hulu series Amanda:A Coming of Age Horror based on Amanda Knox and her wrongful conviction and its aftermath.[2]
