Kaitaia College is a secondary school located in the Far North District of New Zealand. The school has a roll of 923 as of July 2023.[1]
History
editIn 2019 the school installed a 101kWp solar power system with 367 panels. The Solar Power network is noted as the largest of any school in New Zealand.[2]
In March 2023 raw chicken was served to students and staff, the incident caused several students to vomit with some students visiting the local hospital. The schools food supplier, Bells produce, apologised for the incident in a facebook post, stating that the company would investigate the issue.[3]
