Katya Kan (1998 - 2023) was a multi-media artist, writer and director, based in London, England. She was born in Almaty, daughter of Alexander Kan North Korean writer.

Her work took the form of feminist interventions into art and social spaces through multi-media and new-media video performances. She has performed at various galleries and festivals around the world e.g. the Venice Biennale and Astana Art Show[1] in 2019. Her film Scatology was first screened at the Cannes Film Festival in 2019 [2][unreliable source?] and the London Experimental Film Festival in 2020 and mentioned in the book The Absolute Mixture - Shit Art Positive by Matthew Bown
