He attended high school at Bethesda Academy all four years and was recognized as a prominent leader on the football team. He then went to Houston, Texas, and attended Texas Southern University. He pursued a degree in Theatre with a Performance Concentration and minored in Musical and Vocal Anatomy. Although he did not graduate, Wilson honed his skills in acting, singing, and performing during his time at the university.
