Draft:Kialara (wallet)

Kialara is a cold storage cryptocurrency wallet that incorporates artwork in its design.[1][2]

History

edit

Kialara was founded in 2013 by Maxfield Mellenbruch.[2][3]

In March 2016, an original painting by Allman, titled Excavatorelevator 1, was sold at auction.[2]

Wallet

edit

Kialara wallets are provided unfunded, allowing buyers to add bitcoins if desired. Initially, Maxfield Mellenbruch managed the private and public keys, establishing trust within the community. Funding a wallet permanently destroys the artwork, and some owners use Kialara solely for its artistic value without funding.[2]
