Early life and education
editQiniso Vilane was born in Ubombo, KwaZulu-Natal in 1999. He was primarily raised by his grandmother in Jozini, where he attended Hlokohloko Primary School & Sinethezekile Combined School studying Grade 7 & 8 before relocating to Hillcrest,Durban for a year after his mother’s passing in 2013. At school He was involved in numerous school activities talking community issues. He matriculated in 2017 at Esiphondweni Secondary School
In 2018, King Mshotinarry enrolled for Bachelor of Audiology at University of KwaZulu-Natal. He had experiences challenges with getting enough clinical hours dute to contracting Covid-19 in 2022.
His publication “ Health sciences students' perception of the communicative impacts of face coverings during the COVID-19 pandemic at a South African University” was submitted at the ‘South African Journal of Communications Disorders’’ (SAJCD) as part of completion of his undergraduate degree

editKing Mshotinarry's journey into media began in 2019 while at university, where he was encouraged by a friend to start a YouTube channel. He had long harbored a passion for the industry, Qiniso Vilane was addressing socioeconomic issues, the channel didn't blow up.

editKing M has a Spreaker podcast, which he published on his YouTube channel
In June 2021, was appointed to host Ukhozi FM afternoon drive 1223 Cafe for a day on June,16. King M was informed via Instagram direct message by one of the station's presenters that the demo he had sent for review. He didn’t make it to the station as he saw messages later that year.
Audiology
editIn 2022, Vilane secured his first job as an academic mentor, tutoring Paediatric and Vestibular Audiology at the University of KwaZulu-Natal
Vilane then served a one-year contract as a Community Service Audiologist at Bethesda Hospital in Ubombo, KwaZulu-Natal, from July 2022 to June 2023.
