Korea Institute of Medical Microrobotics(KIMIRO) is a research institute specializing in the field of medical microrobot located in Gwangju, South Korea.
It was founded as an independent research foundation from RRI established as an affiliated organizaion of Chonnam National University in 2019.
The major functions of KIMIRo are as followings : - professional research on medical microrobotics - clinical GMP based prototyping for industry - cooperation among industry-academia-institute-hospital- government on medical microrobotics
It is pursuing ‘Global Leader in Medical Microrobotics’ and based on it simultaneously establishment of medical microrobot industry complex and competing worldwide by making the world's first development and commercialization cases in the field of micro/nano medical robots.
