Korea Taekkyon Federation(대한택견회; KTF) is the biggest Taekkyon organization. It was founded in 1984, named Korean Traditional Taekkyon Research Society, and renamed to Korea Taekkyon Federation in 2007.
With the objective of encouraging the development of the sport of Taekkyon, Korea Taekkyon Federation(KTF) is the sole legal entity under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the Republic of Korea that governs the sport of Taekkyon.[1] Starting with semi approval as a national federation by Korean Sport & Olympic Committee(KSOC, NOCs of Korea) on 14th January, 1991 and formal approval on 26th February, 2007, so regular member of KSOC.[2] The KTF has been in charge of both amateur and elite sports since 1st December, 2015 when Korea Taekkyon Federation and Korea Taekkyon Sports For All had united.
